The Mallorca Coventon Bureau was founded in 1979 as a non-profit association, dedicated to the promotion of the island as a MICE destination. Created thanks to the joint pressure of dedicated local businesses in the events and tourism section, the Convention has worked since then to support the development of professional events in Mallorca.
Since those early days, when Mallorca had a large number of hotels but still no dedicated spaces for meetings, the Convention Bureau has been a key driver in promoting the growth of the MICE sector on the island. Thanks to the vision of its founders, they were able to anticipate an evolution that is now a reality: Mallorca is not only a well-established tourist destination, but also home to highly specialized companies in the organization of congresses, incentives, and professional events.
With more than four decades of experience, the Convention Bureau has supported hundreds of companies, connecting them, giving them visibility, and facilitating their development within the MICE sector. Mallorca has also been the birthplace of major international hotel chains and a symbol of professionalism and tourism excellence. Today, the meetings and events sector is part of the strategy to reduce seasonality at the destination, making the most of an exceptional climate and connectivity that allows events to be hosted throughout the year.
Currently, the Mallorca Convention Bureau is undergoing a new phase, focused on strategy, innovation, and professionalism, with the goal of continuing to position MICE in Mallorca as a strong and competitive option on an international level.
