Taxis in Mallorca: Guide for Congresses and Events

How to Use Taxis in Palma and the Rest of the Island: Designated Stops, Radio Bookings, Card Payments, and Official Phone Numbers for Events.

Taxi service in Mallorca is a practical, safe, and regulated option for urban travel and transfers between towns. It operates 24 hours a day and uses a taximeter with official fares set by public authorities and updated periodically. For up-to-date information on regulations and reference fares, please consult the official website.

Taking a taxi is straightforward: there are official designated stops throughout the city and at strategic points such as Palma Airport (PMI). At the stops, a queue system applies—passengers board the first available vehicle. It is also possible to hail a taxi on the street when it is free (indicated by a lit sign). At the airport, the taxi stands are located just outside the terminal and are clearly marked along the arrivals route. MobiPalmaAENA

For reservations and pick-up coordination, official radio dispatch services (by phone or app) can be used. Public information from the Palma City Council centralizes taxi stops and radio contacts, and helps locate specific options, such as adapted vehicles (Eurotaxis) for people with reduced mobility. Regarding payment methods, the service accepts cash and, generally, bank cards; it is recommended to confirm availability with the dispatch service or driver. Receipts or invoices with service details can be requested.

In MICE contexts, taxis are useful for peak arrival times and door-to-door transfers between venues, hotels, and the Convention Centers. For programs with multiple locations, taxis can be combined with other mobility solutions to streamline departures and returns during concentrated schedules.

For any inquiries, you can contact the Mallorca Convention Bureau.
